Increase in theft from motor vehicles - Fountain Street, Hyde

We have seen an increase in incidents where vehicles have been targeted by offenders, particularly on and around Fountain Street, Hyde. 

We would would like to remind residents about some simple preventative measures that can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of theft.

Please ensure that no valuables are left on display inside your vehicle. Items left in view can attract unwanted attention and make vehicles a target for opportunistic thieves.

It is also important to make sure that your vehicle is always left secure. Double-check that doors and windows are locked and that motorbikes are properly secured when left unattended.
